(MS WORLD LANGUAGE WEEK)

Lunch rotation: 6,7

News and Notes:

  • Congratulations to Jami, Sava, their team and all the kids for a beautiful Shanti Playing for Peace Concert!  What talented instructors and students! And there’s still one more concert – next Wednesday, December 4th come out and support our Rising Stars (beginning/6th grade students) at 5:30 in the theater!
  • ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas…. Is back and you can sign up here!

  • Feedback for us! When you have a moment.

  • Lunch Break and Meetings Clarification:: Generally, we believe that lunch is a time for students to eat, connect with friends, run around, and take a break. It is not usually a time for assessments or formal activities. If there is some reason you request to see a student at lunch, please provide them with a signed pass so that they can have easy exit from the cafeteria. This makes the job of our Teaching Assistants much easier. Thank you.
  • Math Apps: Due to the need to regulate math apps a little more tightly, we are communicating to students that they can have 2 math apps at any given time. These are to largely be treated as personal apps, and they should not be playing these in class or the halls unless given permission.
  • Hiring Update! I have hired four teachers for the MS next year. Welcome to: Laura Rolinson – EAL, Megan Vosk – Humanities, Mark de Olivera – Humanities, and Hugo Cloutier- French.
  • Student Feedback Survey: All faculty should have students complete the Student Feedback Survey at the end of course.
    • If new teacher: 2 x per year -at end of each semester
    • If returning teacher: 1 x per year –  end of sem 1 or 2
    • If teaching elective class: at end of elective class – semester 1
    • Prior to administering the survey, please send Alexa an email and she will send you an ID number. Teachers can administer the survey to their own students.
